Pear Bowl With Vegan Yogurt & Neem Bark Powder Recipe Notes & Random Research

This dish was inspired by the classic parfait, but I wanted to do the fruits my way (I love pear and wanted more fruit than yogurt in my belly).

I used D’Anjou pears but really you can use whatever you like. These were sitting around in my icebox (refrigerator) for weeks, and the skin was getting ugly but does that matter? Not really. Ugly as it was, the pear was delicious.

The mango ginger flavor of the granola I used was so perfect against the pear and the neem bark powder. It’s what I had on hand, and I’m just lucky that happened to be, because I can’t think of a better flavor combination than those things.

Neem bark powder isn’t the easiest thing to find. If you can’t find it locally, order online.

Alternatively, you can omit the neem, or replace it with something like cinnamon, turmeric, or spirulina.
